Centrepiece Exhibit - Restored the 18 Pounder Gun

Recycling is important to our lives now, but this is not a new idea.

An early instance of recycling was performed by the Australian Army during World War II, when they resurrected an 18 pounder gun, left over from World War I, and put it to good use in the next conflict.

This long-serving weapon, which was a mainstay of the Royal Australian Artillery for many years, is a central and striking display on entering the Museum.

The rest of this interesting story can be found in Museum Exhibits, WWII.
