This book is dedicated to the one hundred and twelve men whose names appear on the Services Reconnaissance Department Memorial situated at Garden Island, Western Australia, and to the Chinese Malay and indigenous peoples of Borneo many of who gave their lives to assist in the freeing of their country from the Japanese.
It incorporates the experiences of operatives who took part I one of the most successful, behind the enemy lines operations ever carried out by “Z” Special Unit personnel during World War II. The experiences of these few dedicated men who fought this secret war are now revealed for the first time.
